Gravatar I notice there are 7 sites riding in on yours.
Do not normally see this many.

Gravatar Well, in a round about way that's right. Each of these comments sections are on another site, as are ads, etc. It's the only way I have of allowing comments (at the moment). You have my word that nothing harmful is in this newsletter!

Gravatar Well done article...keep up the good work

Gravatar Excellent writeup, Dave.

Gravatar Well done. I will pass this link onto some who need an explanation. Tom

Gravatar If many cookies are causing your browser to report when you visit a Website. Wouldn't that activity have the effect of slowing down the loading of the webpage you desired? (Especially with Dial-up connections)

I suspect that this could contribute to the popular claim that, "My computer is slowing down because it is geting old."

Gravatar Al, If I'm reading your question correctly I believe the answer is NO.

If you delete your cookies (or don't have a cookie for a specific site) the site will still request a cookie. The request will result in a "no cookie found" response from the browser, and the site will have to create one. Obviously more steps than if you already have a cookie.
