Gravatar Yes, it worked, thank you!

Gravatar It worked great and I think it will be helpful. NO MORE CAPS WHEN I don't want them!

Gravatar I tried to do this as I have this problem with the capital letters lock, but I couldn't find the accessibility option in the control panel. I have windows xp. Any other place it could be? Thanks

Gravatar Thank you Dave! A very useful and welcome tip.

Gravatar Worked great in Vista. Thanks, Dave!

Gravatar Hey! It works.
But my PC is way away from my desk, and I heard this tiny beep coming from somewhere, it sounded like it was coming from the clock on my desk! I found it, it's the PC 'loudspeaker', and not the Sound Card connected speakers that beep... Even so, pleased to have it, I too often hit Caps Lock instead of Shift and have to go back and re-type 3 or four lines of text in lower case.
Question.. Is there a way of highlighting text and changing case?
Cheers.

Gravatar Worked fine for me.
Handy tip! thank you

Gravatar This is the best tip yet - It was driving me crazy to not know when the capitals were on or off
thanks a lot

Gravatar Will be great except when I am using mediaplayer. Using it for first time just now I almost jumped out of seat. I often press my capsloc and make a mess.

Gravatar No, that screen does not come up.

Gravatar This suggestion worked great for me thanks for your newsletter and the handy tips in it.

Gravatar Great tip Dave, Thanks a bunch. I have this problem all the time as I type. Now ,no more.

Gravatar Another excellent article

Gravatar thanks-this will be a help for my granddaughter who hits it by mistake all the time.

Gravatar Thanks - worked good!

Gravatar Just wish it were louder, but thanks!

Gravatar Thanks for a great tip! It works. MC

Gravatar Chris,
In MS Word, highlight your text and then hold down your SHIFT key and tap F3. It will cycle you through the different cases. It isn't as easy in OpenOffice Writer. There you have to highlight the text and click on Format | Change Case. If I find a key combination for it, I will let you know.

Gravatar Your Caps Lock sound notification hint did not work. Do I have to reboot? If so,why don't you include that instruction?

Gravatar at donationcoder
Play a sound when Capslock turned on (as opposed to a "beep"!)
http://www.donationcoder.com/ For...msg3425#msg3425

Then there's "CapsLock Timer" - will turn off CapsLock "when idle for x number of seconds"
http://www.donationcoder.com/For...hp? topic=8128.0

Here's another, if you forget Capslock is on and press Shift to capitalise it turns off Capslock

I dont know can you run all these together but you could always ask at the forums there

Gravatar Barry, this should work on every PC. The only problem I can see is that of a PC without an internal speaker, or a defective speaker. The internal speaker provides the system beep, as well as error codes (is certain situations) through beeps.

Gravatar Great tip thanks Dave!
