Dave, I downloaded a 30 day trial of Spyware Doctor. It did a scan and found a couple of errors, but, it would not fix the errors unless I bought the product.
I'd appreciate your comments on this.

I bought Spyware Doctor. I can't use it as it takes 23 minutes to boot computer with it running. What settings can I change? I don't have it set to run in startup. I don't have it scan for cookies.

For years I put off purchasing Acronis Backup software due to the price. I was fortunate enough to be able to grab an older version for a much reduced price and now, happily, back up regularly. Happily, I have most of the software you recommend.

@Bill. I also got an older version of Acronis which works nicely but on my new computer the BootDisc doesnt work which sort of defeats the purpose - I think the problem is it doesnt recognise SATA drives (so guess I'll have to upgrade.)
!! Something to check for anyone using an older copy...
