I faiuled to succesfully install Ubuntu, kubuntu, Gnome, Oracle 5 linux. On the other hand, and one the same computer I did succesfully install FreeSpire and it looks very nice.
My question: Could you explain in detail what I would have to do to install a qwireless 'B' card made by Lyncsys??

I have started trying linux for the third time. Learning is slow but some of the stuff is starting to come around. Presently I am dual booting xp and pclos 2007. I am trying to dual boot win98 and another linux distro on an older pc. As I do a lot of reading on linux forums and such, any articles about linux will be great! thanks

I recently got Ubuntu onto a Cd, after about a hundred years trying and I do like the clean, fresh interface - and that is as far as I got.
To use progs on Ububntu you are required to do something with your hd partitions -I have a lot of drives, having two external drives both with more than one drive partioned on them, and the thought of creating havoc by messing about with any drive partition is
stopping me from doing it!
Oh. I would like to have Ubuntu up'n'running
but if it means messing up my XP Pro set-up, I will just have to bide my time, until some bright-spark(like you?) produces a Ubuntu tutorial for the very simple-minded user.
(ie meaning me.)
I'm hoping that you can breadcrumb me into the sort of instruction I can follow- I am 75 next month, so you will understand my misgivings.

I use Puppy 1.07. It's so much better than windows. I still can't do command line. Just can't get it in my head. That's the one thing I have trouble with. Right now I'm in 98SE. It runs "fair". Anyway, Thank you the article.
