I notice many newsletters have tips on Microsoft Word, but I find most people don't want to buy Word, especially since Works comes with a lot of computers free. Yet I seldom see tips on Works. I would think Works tips would be of value to more people. You have a very good newsletter. Thank you, Keith

Hi Keith,
You may find using Works to be easy. Works is ok, but Open Office is far superior. Best of all it's completely free. You can even run it from a USB thumb drive and take it with you.
Go to http://openoffice.org to install the Open Office Suite on your PC.
For the portable version (for thumb drives) go to: http://portableapps.com/apps/
off...office_portable
Have fun!

In addition to the full suite of apps with Open Office, you can now more easily store and edit Open Office documents online by adding an extension.
See OpenOffice.org2GoogleDocs

MS Office has a similar service using the MS Office Live. It's still in Beta test, so you may have to wait.

I look forward to hearing more about MSO Live from Carol.

I have used both Works and Open Office and I prefer Works, especially for the database. I cant even figure out how to use the OO database, but the Works one is really easy. Thanks, Keith
