Gravatar Hi Carol, I look forward to your and your husband's newsletter each month. I have definitely learned from them.

I do have a question about Excel. On my spreadsheet I keep for all expenses, I have a row I use for medical milage at the very bottom of the sheet. I have the sums added up for each column and the grand total for each line. On two lines below, I have the row for the milage. I cannot seem to change it out of dollars and cents. I know it's a simple change, however, being the Polack that I am, I can't figure it out. Can you help me?

Dave is not my husband. We are just good friends.

Simply highlight the cell and click on Format | Cells and mark it for text. You were right - it was a simple fix!
