I have a
CD burner and a DVD burner on my computer. Yesterday when I went to use them they wouldn't work, either of them. I went to My Computer, and neither showed there. I went to Device Manager and it should red Xs on both. In tying to get them to work I got Error 22, which would be a registry problem. I purchased Regisry Mechanic, per your recommendation. It showed 341 registry errors. I had it clear up those; but I still can't access my burners. Both burners have always worked previously. What now?
Frank, Go into the BIOS (might say Setup) during boot. See if you find them listed there, you can change your primary boot device to one, and look look around for something that disables quick POST.
