Gravatar wow
you just never know
but when you are a loser you can say anything.

but i never would have thought that he would have said something like that

Gravatar I always thought that Huckabee was a straight shooter. That is the reason why he and Obama won Iowa, there was a connection of sincerity that both have conveyed to the public. The factor here is....do others feel the same way as Huckabee or at least can they rationalize the controversy in the same way?

Gravatar Wow.... go Mike. Actually someone on the right who admits to the complexity of the situation.

Gravatar A little secret here: the bloggers, radio fools, Fox News assholes hate Huckabee as much as they hate McCain. Huckabee may be a Christian Taliban, but he's also a populist and knows black preachers. Huckabee once said that people voted for him over Rudy G and Romney b/c Rudy reminded them of the snide jerk at work who stabs you in the back, and Romney the dude who lays everyone off and takes the golden parachute.

McCain secretly likes Obama--he went Apocalypse Now-Nam on staffers who were working with the Fox News harpies and jackasses who in turn got the leaks from the Clinton folk. He doesn't play this stuff and trust me if Hillary steals this nomination he's getting my vote.

Gravatar During the Republican debate at Morgan State University, two candidates stood out as the type that I could support: Gov. Huckabee and Sen. Brownback. Unfortunately, neither leads the Republican ticket. But if Hillary is the nominee then McCain will get my nod and I will cancel my Democratic membership and register as Independent.

I was in DC with my six year old daughter this Monday for the Easter Egg Hunt at the White House. Of course the guests were excited. What I didn't expect was the palpable anticipation among the black groundskeepers, custodians, and clerks at the visitor center. Obama's name would be traded furtively between us. My friend who accompanied me said that Barack will bring out the best and worse of this nation. I witness this in exchanges like the one with Chris Matthews and Pat Buchanan and the scene last week between the anchors at Fox. I see it in Paul Krugman's vigorous criticism of Obama and passive acceptance of Clinton while Maureen Dowd, David Brooks, and Frank Rich press for the man and chastise Hillary. It also happens to black people. I would have bet the house that Maxine Waters and Tavis Smiley would never choose patronage and access over power and influence but that is what they did. Then I see Oprah going all out for Obama. And even John McWhorter's sorry ass has departed from the script. I wouldn't be shocked if this was his first step on the road to Damascus in the way Arianna Huffington had her's years ago. Oh my!
