I agree. This guy is funny. Glad to know that I'm not the only one who thinks Cornell West is a clown and a white media creation designed to "explain" black people to the public. Like that other phony "Skippy" Gates.
Eww....you know, I like Gates but like you am not really crazy about West. What do you dislike about Gates. I really gained respect for Gates after his PBS special highlighting the different tiers within the Black community.....we never really saw that facet of our existence articulated on a national scale before...I always respect your opinion Serg....so what's up with Gates?
I'm a big fan of Cornel West and I don't think that he's a "white media creation". He is above all a Duboisean scolar whom over the years has used philosophy and religion to dissect the problems of working class people.
Granted he is very excentric and it's that excentricity that detracts from his credibility. But those that see past that can understand and appreciate the content of his words.
