These interracial dating programs are indeed tired. They're pure sensationalism and offer the same archetypes each show:
Black guy who says he was passed over by Black women, hence he only goes White.
Black women who say Black men are looking for "weak" women, thus their going White.
White woman who says that Black Men are more exciting.
White man who has Black friends but hates to see interracial dating.
I must admit, however, that I'm often fascinated by the concept of someone "stealing our wo/men." It's pure tribalism... how does a person that you've never before encountered in your life belong to you?
On the other hand, I know a couple of bros. who refuse to date Black women and it disturbs me to see their total abandonment of the Black female. I'm big advocate of people dating who they want to date, but at the same time, I think their views are wrong. Guess it's not as simple as black and white (yes, I know, bad, bad pun).

uh.I'm not sure that I'm with you on that one negrorage....but Jay's insight on tribalism (a term Star of star & Bucwild used quite a bit) is dead on....we really need to get away from it and deal with folks individually....21st century has to mean some kind of advancement.

I have become very tired of these documented arguments on interracial romance. It is either one side or the other like one has ever considered a gray area.
I am a black man and have been happily married to a white woman for ten years. In the past I never thought that I would be in a serious relationship let alone married to a white woman.
I met my wife over the Internet in a chat room. We just started talking and I never saw a picture of her and she of me.
We spent months building a foundation discovering that we had so much in common that when we finally did meet we were so in love and into each other that color just didn’t matter; no eHarmony or match.com, I was not looking to get into a relationship I just met someone online and started talking and it grew from there.

I stand by this statement, I think we have too many problems to fix in our own race before we go dibbling and dabbling in others.
That is why the White race has been in a position of power so long, because they understand the importance of the White family and they understand the concept of passing on generational wealth and inheritance.
At the same time, if you meet someone and fall in love and they happen to be another race, than by all means, follow your heart and be happy.
But, in my opinion, I think we have too many problems in the Black race right now, that can only be solved by strong Black family units.
Let's re-establish the Black Nuclear Family, that should be priority number 1, if we really want to save Black culture.

I just don't understand why that even matters. I mean obviously they are attracted to them, while it does have something to do with how beauty is projected in this country, ultimately it is a personal decision. Me personally, I first have to be attracted to a woman, then we have to have the same belief system & values. Also from experience many black women are so head strong that they defeat the very essence of what makes up a man. I call it the feminization of the America man. From how a woman talks down to men, to how they were treated in the past , paid back in the present.
I prefer black women myself but like there are interesting people out there, not just black & white ones.

I think most men are attracted to an attractive woman, period - i dont think that most black men are obsessed with white/latino/asians..i think that shows such as the one posted in the Youtube clip hype interracial dating more than it needs be. Maybe in the metropolises you'll see a greater number of interracial dating as those towns tend to be more open mined, but i bet that outside of those pockets (and even within), most black men date/marry black women.
