You know.....you're beginning to be the "flavor flav" of this site...Roscoe Lee Browne was an EXCEPTIONAL actor....his ethnicity is just a description....and there have been many institutions that were (and are) White that never describe themselves as such but they are definitely NOT about people of color.....the reason why Black folk, Asian folk or any other ethnicity have separate things is because the mainstream media(aka White) does not address these groups.....but this is well known....you will disagree but the facts speak for themselves.....BET was developed(even though I have MAJOR problems with its content) because White programming will not address and does not address the African American community's needs......suck on that Dave! Re: Roscoe Lee Browne... if you haven't seen that stuck-in-the-elevator "All in the Family" episode lately, dburt, you gotta find it. So funny, and Mr. Browne, as always, was superb... a great foil for Archie Bunker.
I used to fear that "All in the Family" would seem dated if I watched it now. Caught this ep. a while back on a rerun, and the humor was still bracing, almost shocking, and still hilarious.
Hector Elizondo played a Puerto Rican stuck on the same elevator. At one point Elizondo tells Archie that he's an American "equal to you." Archie says: "Equal to me? You ain't even equal to him!" and he points at Roscoe Lee Browne.

I remember that episode UBM..Roscoe was a true heavyweight chracter actor...I saw him in Two Trains Running years ago....again an excellent performer...I think I will search for that clip...Thanks for the heads up.

I'll forever remember Roscoe Lee Brown from that classic "head-rubbing", card game episode of the Cosby show . He had such screen presence - and what a voice.
