Gravatar Huh?
First off, the above comment has nothing to do with nothing, why post this spam?
Secondly, can you people tell me what the controversy is? Hell, these two pictures look almost identical to me.

Gravatar What I find a bigger tragedy is that someone actually made the connection between a black dude with a whitegirl on his arm and king kong.

Let's break down the picture:

Lebron, bouncing basketball, mouth open, holding a smiling blonde female. OMG King Kong...... rediculous!

Gravatar Vogue has been giving all celebrites horrible covers but since so few blacks make the cover we are very critical of what we see. When I saw the Lebron cover for the first time, Godzilla(sp) came to mind. The last tastefull black celebrity cover is Liya Kabede's cover from a few years ago.

Gravatar That picture is too small. Doesn't really look too bad actually.

Dburt, I just listened to your last broadcast. That was a really great show, too bad you allways seem to run out of time. I laughed out loud when you were talking about Submariner and he called in a few seconds afterwards. Submariner and Sergio should call in regularly, it makes for an excellent and balanced conversation.

Thanks for a teriffic show!

Peace

Gravatar he the first black man on the cover huh

Gravatar Thanks for the compliment Mario...yeah it really was a fun show last night. I'm sure you will hear from them again as we discuss the more controversial subjects....it's bound to happen.

Gravatar It is obvious what was done here. It's disgusting.

Gravatar Sorry it took so long to respond David..

You are current the info I posted had nothing to do with James. It has to do with 40 years of musicology...In 1960's the Affro-Arts Theater was on the forefront of everlotion (to quote Bro Phil's Master Teacher Sun Ra) on Chicago's South Side (Blackbelt)...The theater was closed by deception by the Chicago Red Squad & Cointel Pro...Bro Phil was locked out of the music industry for almost 40 years because of his awakening of the people's consciousness....

He is approaching 80 years of age..and since the release of his tribute to Malcolm X...(Katalyst/Zulu Records) and the success of his SUNZ (Hypnotic Brass Ensemble)...Music, social critics, and bloggers around the world are reconnecting & tuning in to the elder...

It wasn't spam..just sharin knowledge..thought you mite wanna know all of the Blue Devils arent dead...so don't believe everything fed to you by the media
