Nice yarn! I think park-and-draft is a good way to start out; eventually you'll get more confident and stand up. If you're dropping the spindle it means you're either spinning too slowly or not drawing out enough fiber.

Great yarn that you made yourself! Way to go chica.
I gotta say - thanks for the inspiration. I went out this morning shooting around the neighborhood and man - if the pictures come out like I hope, I did some of my best work ever! All because of you!
Thanks - more pictures tomorrow!

First of all, your spinning looks GREAT! I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at your wraps per inch of your plied yarn. It looks almost like a DK weight in my very non-expert opinion and something to celebrate as it usually takes a while for a beginner to create such a yarn Your singles look wonderfully consistent, slubs or no slubs. It's best to set the twist after you've plied because it helps the create a good balanced yarn. However, your's looks good so I wouldn't worry too much. Finally, sure you can buy all of the expensive tools in the world but I've found that simple basics work just as good. You can ply from your two smaller balls or you can ply from both ends of just one. I've learned that there are many "right" ways. Keep up the great work and welcome to the world of spinning.

you're supposed to set the twist after plying, actually. Because you want the singles to still be active when you ply them together to make a stronger yarn.
It looks great! I like to park+draft with my drop spindle, too.
I like Andean plying, which is using one single and you ply it to itself. Navajo is another method that is pretty cool if you want a three ply. The balls in the bowl is a pretty standard method, so YAY! It really does look great!

Wow, I'm so impressed with your spinning, the yarn looks great! I love the color, too. As a non-spinner, I have the say that the terminology just goes right over my head. Any plans for what you're going to make with your yarn?

Yummy homemade yarn! It's very pretty! My own very novice attempts are full of "slub flubs". Yours looks "much more evener".

Your yarn looks beauteous! And I'm so impressed that you plied... I need a demonstration of that - I just can't wrap my head around it.
