The Humble Housewife

Gravatar MMM, I love chicken tacos and pico. Yummers. Sometimes being in America isn't so bad because we have such a diverse set of foods. Your apple donut idea was wonderful. That stubborn KiKi. Now, if only I had that this morning instead of that chocolate cream donut I had! Oh well!

Gravatar All of this looks just delicious!

I am especially grateful for the recipe for the cornbread - that looks great.

If you ever get to Fallon & Byrne in Dublin they are now selling Mexican spice mixes and whole smoked chillies, poblano, annato seeds, etc.

Gravatar Ame - I'd say the rest of the world, Dublin included is just as, if not more so diverse! I never could find whole nutmeg in the states! But stuck out here in the schticks it's very different! Hehe... shame on you with the donut. I hope it was at least Tim Hortons or KK!

Roert - I have GOT to get in there, but I fear I would go broke before leaving! I did find some smoked poblanos and ancho chillies at the Howth farmers market a couple of months ago, thank goodness!

Gravatar Looks really yummy, Deborah. I like the baked shell idea -- do they get crisp?

Gravatar Deborah, your recipes look amazing! Growing up in Texas, I REALLY REALLY miss my tex-mex food but as I always went to a restaurant for it, I never learned to cook it for myself. Since being here, I've had to resort to using the Old El Paso kits (which are an ok substitute but...) Anyway, you've inspired me to try a few of your recipes and cook it myself....or maybe just come to your house for dinner...you're already cooking for 4...what's 5 more! lol ;o)

Gravatar Let me know how you get on Kelly! And you're welcome anytime!

Gravatar be careful now...you might just have 5 hungry souls show up at your doorstep! lol

Where do you find cumin around here...I've looked before at Tesco but no luck...do you have to go somewhere special to find it....wonder if the new M&S would have it...hmmmmmmmmm
