That photo looked like it should be in a cook book. I am going to try your recipie. We have lots of deer meat in my freezer that I need to use up and this looks perfect for the ground up deer meat I have. My husband would love this recipie. Have a good day - see ya.

I'm not a beef fan now, but my mom used to make this (badly) I wished she had made it like this!
I'm glad I didn't get her cooking skills!

Goulash is YUMMY! I use leftover pot roast, cut up in cubes, in goulash sometimes, and they eat it right up.

LOL @ Lisa - my Mom had a few dishes like that. I swear if I see another shepherds pie or spaghetti bolognaise with mushrooms I'll scream!!! Otherwise she's a great cook though!
Barb- Would you believe I have never in my life cooked a pot roast?! I'll have to try it. Generally I like my beef still mooing!

Hi Deborah,
That dish looks yum! I can see that mix working just as well with rice as it does with pasta.
If you are looking for inspirational minced meat recipes I happen to have a book just on that subject that you are most welcome to (and you would be doing me a favour as I need to shed about 100kg of stuff before I move country next year!). If you would like it just drop me a line.
Cheers,
Robert

Definitely trying this one - anything that cooks up all in one pot is a winner for me! It looks delicious.

An ex-boyfriend's mum used to make something very similar whenever I went round for dinner and I loved it. For obvious reasons, I don't miss the ex but your recipe and lovely photo are making me hanker for some tasty goulash! Will be trying it out this week.

Hi Deborah,
A silly question maybe but do you by any chance have a recipe for sloppy joes?
An American friend in SA made this for us once and it was very nice. Would be keen to try to make it myself.

Robert - I might just take you up on that! THANK YOU! I personally have never made sloppy joes as at the kids current age, sloppy would be a best case scenario, but I do enjoy them and have several recipes - so I will try one this week and post soon!
Barbara - Not this time... just rustic egg noodles from Aldi. Cheap and yummy!
Lisa and Junebug - look forward to seeing you next week!
