The Humble Housewife

Gravatar Just wondering how long it would take me to drive from my part of Ulster to your part of Leinster? That look delicious!

DH is on a red meat embargo since discovering his cholesterol was high - but that looks just the ticket for a little rule breaking treat when we get back from our hols.

I sent you an email about the 'make my kid eat' not sure if you got it - maybe I'll just email my recipe to you since we're heading off for 3 weeks early next week and I may not get to post it before June 1st.

Gravatar The steak looks very good, I must try that. As for the pancakes, I'm not a huge fan of the American ones but My hubby and son would love them.

Gravatar I can't really tell the difference from the pictures and recipes between American and Irish, we don't always have fruit, which I'm sure you know. Is it just the thickness of the finished cake?
I HAVE been waiting all week, checking you a couple of times a day, by the way, for a post!

Gravatar Annie- Sorry about the spreadsheet thing, check out my latest post. Where are you in Ulster? How fun would it be to have an Irish food bloggie get-together!?

Beccy - I'm with you 100%, but I have to admit, this was yummy... in a Yankee sort of way!

Lisa - Exactly. Irish pancakes are a tiny bit thicker than crepes... no baking soda... very thin but not quite crepes... try em! You'll love em!
