I need to be better at menu planning- from an organization standpoint, as well as budget and sanity! I never think to plan lunches - resulting in Ellen and I standing at the Fridge come 12pm saying 'what are we gonna eat' lol! If there are no leftovers - we get very creative - Rice Pudding anyone? lol! I made Pasta with Italian Sausage on Saturday - used Ricotta Cheese for the first time - it didn't blow me away - might have to fiddle with that recipe a bit. I have a box of frozen puff pastry in my freezer - might have to try Ina's little palmiers - you know since we haven't had enough sugar around here in the last week or so lol!

Wish I could join you at Crafteire. But even for someone in England, it's probably a bit far to go :-(
And I might try those palmieres. I am pretty sure there is a sheet of ready rolled puff pastry in my fridge.

Deborah,
I hope you have a great time this weekend!
Funny enough, as much as I love Barefoot Contessa books, I rarely get to watch the show. I made the stuffed cabbage last night from her new book (minus the raisins.) It was great, but I used brown rice instead of white, and should have pre-cooked it. Took forever to cook. I haven't tried palmiers, but I do have puff pastry in the freezer.....

Welcome to MPM!! I'm still pretty new to it myself, and I love it. I planned menus before, but not as regular as I could, and this really helps me! Your menu looks delicious!

I too try and plan the meals before I shop in the hope I'll save money.
Those palmiers look delicious and so easy, just what I love.

Wow, look at that organization! I should really do that, the only thing is I sometimes get the in mood for certain things, and certain things only. I am a very fussy eater!
I like barefoot contessa and everday italian!

Welcome to menu plan monday! Your menu sounds great -- especially meatballs and rice and the sausage spaghetti ... my weakness!
I love Barefoot Contessa! My Mom makes a lot of her recipes and the coconut icing cupcakes are SO GOOD! If you see that recipe, try it out!

I had no idea those palmiers were so easy to make. They certainly taste delicious.
Have a great week!
