Fry some sliced leeks and mix with cheese to top the pies when they go in the oven. It is a really tasty addition and adds a bit of crunch to the top of the pie.

Thank you for posting this recipe, I was looking for something a bit different from the Shepherd's pie that I remember my mom making as a kid - Ground beef sauted with onion soup mix, mashed potatoes and creamed corn on top... I remember it being so good, but I made this recipe for my boyfriend and I tonight and it was definitely put in the 'favorites' categories.
