Sweet Potatoes seem to be much more popular in the Ireland I have returned to, but I don't honestly know if they are or if I'm just tuned into them more after living through so many Thanksgivings in the US.

Eolai - You're welcome! I found the same thing coming back to Ireland. I think the low-carb / GI diet fads might have brought that around too as they seem to be a viable alternative to normal potatoes. Having said that the produce aisles have changed a LOT since I left in 1989, although I think some of the items are still a bit taboo! I can't tell you how many times a cashier has asked me what the asparagus was!
