The Humble Housewife

Gravatar Not so bad, I've dreamed of blogging before! (Unless I'm sad, too?!)
The gingerbread look great, what made you think to make them now? I only think of them around Christmas for some reason.
Great, now I want sushi!

Gravatar Hehe me too Lisa, but alas this is what happens when you are browsing the cookbook with a three year old! I was thinking cookies, but she saw the picture and had other ideas!

Gravatar I understand about the computer thing. I made blueberry muffins to get away from it and to focus on my new family.

Humm, what will we make tonight? How about brownies with concentrated espresso to make the chocolate taste rich and expensive but it's just powdered cocoa!!

Love the gingerbread friends!

Gravatar I adore the gingerbread ladies in their bikinis.

Gravatar Maybe I should make a gingerbread lady with a black "teddy" and give it to my new hubby! LOL

Gravatar Lovely gingerbread folk.

I had to stop looking at Facebook because I got hooked on playing Pirates...

Gravatar Hey, Deb. I totally understand. FB is sooo bad for you! Haha~

Your gingerbread people are adorable. I've never made them myself.

Gravatar that would be hard to do.

the gingerbread people are precious!!

Gravatar If my little experiment has led to there being more gingerbread men in the world then it has all been worthwhile...

Gravatar Hmmm, seems cool.

Gravatar I love your gingerbread folk. I'm sitting here wondering if I could give up blogging for a week. Of course I could if I had to but it is compulsive. You can see why children get addicted to their computers.

Gravatar Oh, these guys are so cute!! I am feeling very festive now.

Gravatar Thanks for the compliments everyone!

Rick - Nevermind the cookies, blackberry jam, shortbread, pear and blackberry crumble and homemade pesto. Good God - mayube I should never go back!

Chris - I think I could give up actually blogging, but reading all my blogs would be virtually impossible!

Jen - Pirates? Don't even tell me! I'm hooked on Scrabulous, Smaahter than my Friends and Mobsters. Very very sad! Less than three hours to go! Woohoo!

Gravatar do a link to haka and gingerbread on youtube, hilarious

Gravatar Cute gingerbread people. Maybe one day I'll make some. So far, I haven't been able to perfect any kind of rolled cookies.

Gravatar I do feel your pain Deborah! I have to say that Facebook has been a Godsend - I have made contact with so many people from my hometown (including family I lost touch with years ago) who are now living pretty much all over the world.

I made a commitment on facebook to not take on all those extra applications.

By and large I have stuck with it only having two silly applications on then of course the fun wall, wall, and superwall.

That has helped actually and you might try it for yourself - just stick to the communication aspects of Facebook and it becomes an excellent resource without taking up too much of your time.

That is the theory at any rate...

I love the Gingerbread people (being politically correct here). Have not had or made them since I was a kid. Must give them a go - maybe try and give them a Christmassy twist for the Festive season...

Gravatar Hehe thanks Robert! It's the games I'm a sucker for... Scrabble, Boggle, Sudoku etc.! Awful, but I made it through!

Lisa- I have the same problem... sugar cookies are a terrible problem for me, but these seemed to work!
