I predict that his career ends like that of his predecessor: tarnished by taking over a dog of a program that never finishes above 4th in the SEC.
I was talking with a USC fan last night who became...well, the only words for it are "incredibly defensive slash noticeably irritable", when the subject of the '08 Season came up. Despite his petulant and spotty predilection, one thing stuck out. He said the only game Clemson will lose is to Va Tech in the ACC Championship who will probably "wax our asses", in an obvious jab at how overwhelmingly easy USC fans think our schedule is, and a probable attempt to elevate us to unattainable expectations... I didn't dare mention the Scout breakdown, frankly b/c I couldn't have done it justice (I should probably post the link on his Facespace!) I just sat back, smiled, and concluded I would let the team do all my shit-talking this year. It's actually amazing that their shit-talking now comes disguised as praise and actually elevates our team to God-like status (except for the "...oh but..." tacked on at the end.) That's a real testament to the USC ethos in 2008.
