The Sci Fi Catholic Yak Module

Gravatar Numbers can be fun, oh wait.. that's a lie.

congrats on finishing the book though.

Gravatar As for myself, I am about done with Carey's "The Sundering", which I read since I had given up vampires for Lenten.

What can I say? What looked at the outset like a Tolkien clone with a bright company of elves and men, complete with a young Bearer of a magical object, and a Galen clone, out to destroy a Dark Lord, turned out
to be a re-crafting of the Passion of Christ. Very appropiate for the season. Some reviewers said that it showed that more than good and evil, there are shades of gray, but that is wrong, what it showed is that we are easily deceived by appearances and cannot tell one from the other. That light is not always good, nor darkness bad (there is a trek through the desert to illustrate the point), and that seemingly pure in heart crusades to eradicate evil can be tragically misguided and serve it instead.

Perhaps one clue is that the name of the Gandalf's clone name is Malthus. I hope you recognize the name and what it stands for.

So, if you have not reviewed it yet, please do so. IT is perfect reading for Easter.

Gravatar I'll add that to my list, Adriana. My next novel undertaking, when Lent is over, is one I think will please readers, and following that, Snuffles and I have a joint project we hope everyone will enjoy.

Gravatar Looking forward to a reading...I'll try not to get behind on this one

The trouble now is that it is Spring and I want to be out on my motorcycle Today was a LOVELY ride..I did discover that I will need to invest in some warmer gloves.. It is indeed a kind of EVIL joy to scoot past the gas-guzzling SUVs at the gas station...it was only $5 to fill up my bike....and I can go for QUITE a ways.....hehehe.

I'll probably get smited for that one I DO have a carrot cake in the oven for Easter dinner tomorrow.. and there will be plenty to share

Gravatar Ah, Sara, while gloating and contemplating one's virtue are sins, it is not amiss to lecture sinners on how to avoid sinning in the future.

So, keep advertising your mileage. You are doing a public service by it.

Gravatar Adriana-- I also see my bike as another advertisement in "going green." I average around 70 mpg just running around town. Besides being TONS of fun... almost a bit too much..

I DID get the poisonous look from the neighbor's wife yesterday as I had it out cleaning it up and my neighbor HAD to check it out. It is bright red with lots of chrome..pretty. I'm sure he got an earful back home... opps... another sin.. I'm really racking them up..

One BIG disadvantage is that it is a bit difficult to ride in a dress...
