The Sci Fi Catholic Yak Module

Gravatar I'm a lurker, but I thought I'd check in. I just got the book yesterday, so I'll be catching up over the weekend. I totally agree about the cover too. Brown paper bag to the rescue!

Gravatar I followed your example and gave up vampire stories and Tanya Huff for Lent, so I can do my historical reserach

I am now reading Unholy Alliance by
Peter Lavenda, which points up how much Nazi cosmovision was occult and
neo-pagan. Makes you look askance to
neo-pagans today.

Gravatar I just looked up that book, Adriana, and it looks quite suspicious to me. Are you sure it's a trustworthy history?

Gravatar I might not agree with the conclusions, but the fact is that the
nazis were riddled with weird doctrines (and let's not forget the
debt that Hitler owed to Madame Blavatsky). In any case it points out
to an area that, no matter how sensasionalistic, has matter for thougth

Gravatar I must admit I'm falling a bit behind..part of it is due to playing hookey and going skiing, another was spending two rather LONG evenings taking in the local music scene, as well as a couple of adult beverages here and there---one thing us good Irish-descent folks NEVER do is give up booze for Lent--and I'm positive good St Paddy is rolling in his grave for making his feast day during Lent.

However--this week I'm like you and doing a bit of travelling for work..so I'll make good use of the road time to read Josephus. I'm sure my travelling companions will be quite curious as to my choice of reading material It's either that or get embroiled into very deep discussions on male-female psychology or how to change the brakes on a 72 Chevy
