The Sci Fi Catholic Yak Module

Gravatar Nicely gruesome there, Deej. Just born and rips out midwife's jugular.

Yes, that's a promising omen.

Matters are certainly starting to accelerate rapidly downhill. I'm nearly afraid what'll happen next

Gravatar Deej--

I printed it out to take with me on my upcoming trip..that way in case(actually WHEN)my conference get a bit slow I have some thing to read that doesn't look like a novel..

Looking forward to enjoying this next installment

Gravatar Ah, you're way back in chapter 4.

Gravatar Wait a minute...doesn't look like a novel? Are you trying to make me cry?

Gravatar Wait wait--poor choice of words...

I printed it out on 8x11 paper so it fits very nice and neatly in my notebook... in stealth mode so to speak, and very discrete... so I can pretend that I am actually paying attention to the lecture, while actually I am partaking in Deej's serial novel

It would be very obvious, and perhaps a bit rude to the speaker if I reached down into my bag and took out Pirate or Blaphemy, and their somewhat gaudy cover art for everyone to see, and proceed to pick up where I left off... a tad bit unprofessional. While I was in college I (and I'm sure everyone else) mastered the art of doing homework for another class while sitting through an extremely BORING lecture on say Art History or Sociology....this just takes it to the professional world (besides doodling in a notebook )

My deepest apologies my deer Deej, for the misunderstanding...I hope my explanation has clarified what I ACTUALLY MEANT to say.. I'll buy you coffee at church

Gravatar I have returned from my journey to Sin City and was SO GLAD I had my "discrete" copy of Deej's novel...I happened to be unluckly seated in the second row right in front of the presenter, so I really had to work hard to show genuine interest..fortunately I was seated next to a software developer who tended to keep things lively with his uncanny wit.

I also found out that the software geeks in Vegas know where all the cool places are If you haven't been to Diablo's at the Monte Carlo yet check it out...the music is loud and the margaritas are GREAT!! So I toasted my favorite local author ( I still have to do some heavy-duty schmoozing to make up for my wordly offense of our dear blogmeister... :/)

Alas..I did not have the opportunity to actually GO inside a Catholic Church...we drove past Guardian Angel Cathedral--whoever told me it was right next to my hotel I was a big liar..it was actually several blocks away..and also drove past St Joan of Arc just off of Fremont Street....It looked liked it had a pretty mural on the outside.

I DID get LOTS of reading done on Pirate with all the quality time spent in airports and on airplanes...I am LOVING it and hardly want to put it down.. I think more of a young Orlando Bloom as the lead character...or a real young Keaneu Reeves.. but I've always been a sucker for a pretty face...

Now back to reality..
