I just don't see why the kingdom parables back anyone into any particular eschatological corner. I'm pretty much undecided, but I still think the "kingdom" parables are appiclable. The ones you mention (to me) refer to the fact that God will preserve and grow His "remnant" until Christ returns (regardless of your stance on the millenium). God bless. |

a bit off topic: What if we are already in the 1000 year reign of Christ? Suppose the readers of revelation, who were reading its encoded message from John, were already living out the "end times" eschatology. I find most eschatological cocktails mixed up by pre & post millennialists really rather immature. Amillennial makes the most sense to me, but it doesn't sell very many Left Behind books now does it? Sorry for the sarcastic tone, Jesus wants us to work and watch. I think there is way too much watching!!! |

Craig, I agree that one's views of the Kingdom Parables do not then specify your eschatology. I was pointing out how in general postmills tend to look at them one way, and other viewpoints another way, but nothing is certain in this business. |
