Dr. Heddle:

Let me know if you'd like to make a trip down to Gainesville, FL. I would ask the past and current presidents of the Christian Faculty Fellowship (both of whom are in my department) if CFF would pay your expenses.

Robert,

Thank you for the kind words. I would love to come to Gainsville. Maybe in the spring semester?

Why would you seek out religious groups to discuss "cosmological ID," were there any science in it?

Why not? You don't religious groups should discuss science?

I LOVE WWW.ASKCOTNER.COM

DH, I just took your name in vain at Here We Stand: see http://www.haloscan.com/comments...? a=12859#240655.

Sure, religious groups occasionally study science -- but I've never seen any group that invited an ID presentation study science. What other science topics have these churches you're visiting studied?

Here in Dallas we have three or four churches that study science from time to time. Those churches are the ones the Discovery Institute avoids like the plague when they come to town.

A science-literate congregation appears to me to be one any advocate of ID avoids. Are there any counter examples?

This is a must see. Proof the He exists.

Maybe I'm reading some things wrong, but it appears that there is that stereotype of religion (Christianity) and science don't cross lines to each other.

Is there any reasons why Christians are seen as not being intelligent? Intelligences as in schooling and type of degree obtained.

There are many people in the science and engineering fields (electrical, computer, aeronautical, etc) that I know of that are Christians. And, the degrees range from undergrad (BS) to post grad (PhD). The range of Creation perspectives are YEC to OEC. So, I don't buy that other stereotype where only "yokels" from the backwoods believe in YEC.

As in some other threads, God gave us sciences to study even if sciences leave out God. Just because humans have come to leaving God out of sciences, it doesn't mean that God didn't give us the sciences to study.
