Uh...why? Is this an SPS chapter project to publicize physics, or is a real experiment. Not that there is anything wrong with a physicist doing something strange.


This is technically very fascinating and, Bill, it is actually useful to see what kinds of stresses computer equipment can operate under! The whole thing reminds me of the Myth Busters segment on Discovery Channel, in this case "Can a computer operate in a liquid environment?" I would suggest that Dave send the results over to Discover magazine/ etc. (no relation AFAIK to the channel above) since it would make a cute little piece, however: this sort of thing has been done before.
