Beautiful stuff.
I had the impression that Willow's Song (How Do) was, in the movie, sung by Britt Ekland, and lacked the milk-a-bull verse.
The Sneaker Pimps have a very nice version as well (with Ekland's vocals).

Allen, I've heard about, but am yet to hear, the Sneaker Pimps version. I'll have to seek it out. Britt definitely didn't sing on any version, in fact I think her voice may have been overdubbed for the entire film. According to my research (see the Homepage) the film version is sang by Rachel Verney.

Not Britt Ekland's voice! You are despoiling my childhood memories. (I saw The Wicker Man in the theater when I was nine.)
Even worse, the IMDb tells me that that wasn't Britt's rump! And indeed, they say she was dubbed by Annie Ross.

A fantastic movie and soundtrack. You've put some good selections from it, here. Willow's Song is incredibly hypnotic. Apparently, the lyrics for "Summer is a cumen in", are some of the oldest known lyrics in the western world. Are you serious about The Wicker Man being re-made? If so, then it's another clear example of a money grabbing and 'completly un-nescessary" re-make. Does anybody create anything original anymore?

Yeah, unnescessary and money were definitely words that came into my head when I was contemplating the remake.

Great movie and finally someone notices the soundtrack. Perfect example of how music can make a movie even better. As for Nicholas Cage, he should have quit after Raising Arizona. Can;t the proverbial 'they' leave anything alone?

When it comes to the re-make, Edward Woodward's famous finger pointing anger near the end - "And ye shall all DIE..........ACCURSED!!" comes to mind.

A great version of, "Gently Johnny" is done by Richmond, Virginia's dada pop specialists, The Rah Bras.
