God, but I was a HUGE L&M fan in the '70s. My interest has waned over the years, to be sure, but I still love their album "Mother Lode". I could do without the Chris Cross, but hey, thanks for your work just the same. You know, Pablo Cruise's "A Place In The Sun" would work as "yacht rock" too, I think. Thanks again.

nonsense to the first response. Full Sail was not Loggins and Messina's best but still a very good album. And who can knock the Dobbie Bros. They were great. Thanks

Fuck it...you've given me a whole new perspective...this stuff would be great while getting pissed outside on a sunny afternoon...but it was designed to be heard floating out of the radio while cruising down some L.A. freeway ( or something ), wasn't it? Anyway, I've got a copy of The Doobies 'Takin' It To The Streets' nestling among all my 'hip stuff'...AND I was gazing with interest at all The Eagles gear in the HMV sale the other week...and I live by the sea...

In the face of overwhelming critcism from certain circles of friends, my love for the smooth has never waned. Now, with the renewed interest due to the comedic take in Yacht Rock, which hits the spot, I'm just waiting for sed friends to herald the smooth as if they had always had a thing for it. That will be lame.
Won't break my smooth.
