Fantastic Collection. Appreciate the time it took to do it. I like the format too. Made me go out and buy some Elmore James -- his guitar is bombastic enough to get me going on cold mornings.

Back in the 70's, when you could expect to hear almost every kind of music on a single FM station, I heard Ellen McIlwaine & the Persuasions version of Farther Along, probably 2 or 3 times on the local sunday morning show. Maybe 10 years later I found a used copy of the album...but it was all scratched up. Shudda bought it. Thought I'd never run into that song again. I'm on my tenth or so replay of it right now! May be up with it for quite a while longer. Thanks

another classi diddywah set. do you have a podcast feed for these?

Hey Hamilton, buying some Elmore James is money well invested. His guitar and his playing are incredibly...electric.

Rich, I occasionally have feelings of lingering regret at not having purchased certain records when I've seen then, probably forgetting the records that I bought instead. Ellen McIlwaine's 'Farther Along' is truly stunning, I'll try to get you it in single file format so you don't have to hear me say "Auf Wiedersehen" every time you listen to it.

Satisfied75, cheers man, I think this is my feed: www.diddywah.lunarpages.net/podcast.xml , but I could be confused. Let me know.

ellen used to wildly break strings and continue to play as she changed 'em
"this is for all of us its called" WE THE PEOPLE
OMG what a song

Adam,

Great mix, as always.

Have you ever happened to have heard the song 'Signifying Rapper' by Schooly D? You can also hear it in the film 'The Bad Lieutenant'. Anyway, I never knew it was referencing another song. Check it out, if you don't already know it. Later.

Thanks for the wahcast. I'm Your Witchdoctor sounding particularly fine to these ears.

Keep on keepin' on,

The Good Heads
