Hey,

Thank you for inadvertently making the soundtrack to my final paper/last minute cramming. I think its the only reason I may have a shot at passing this class.

Cassie M.

P.S. I saw the Brothers Johnson's version of Strawberry Letter 23 is in there. What do you think of Shuggie Otis's('s's's's?!)

Heya Cassie M,

Good luck! I hope you get a High Distinction or A+ or 100% or at least a pass. Yes I love Shuggie Otis's Strawberry Letter 23. It's wicked and the wig out is wild and loud. I have his CD in my collection back home in Australia and I'm visiting there very soon, so maybe I'll do a post on him. I also have some stuff he did with Al Kooper on record, somewhere...

Really awesome mix, I've had it on repeat for a couple of hours now.

guess i was listening to this ace mix a little loud on the old ipod and was overheard by some dude on the F train into brooklyn.

before he got off, he pumped his fists in the air like rocky.

credt: the transition between Strawberry Letter 23 and You Make Me Feel Like Dancing was tidy.

That duck walk disco bass!

Fingers crossed for some more folk mixes (esp. the IMPOSSIBLE to find Left Banke)!

Hope it's okay, I posted 1977 on a website I use regularly, as I thought it was totally excellent, and wanted people to have access.

Spike
