I couldn't agree with you more, Dif. DDT would solve A LOT of those problems but ever since the lefties accepted its "deadliness" as some kind of dogma, DDT has been banned and will not be considered as a possible solution to such problems.
As for Mr. Annan, he's just pushing the same old collectivist agenda he was pushing when he was Secretary General of the United Nations. How come you never see someone who worked hard for what they have push for socialism and globalization..?
As little as the U.N. and Europe has done for people, and really, how much they have allowed genocide through bad water, disease and avoiding wise treatment, and of fomenting wars where they can to include ignoring openly genocidal wars, when they say something about 'the health of the people' they have absolutely no basis of trust to work from.
In other words, if they declare something is a health risk, believing just the opposite will probably be your best bet. I suppose we have to look at each case, just in case they crack one out of the ballpark by accident or try to employ reverse psychology, but in this case the answer is as obvious as the theory it is based upon. Bogus is as bogus does.
Sometimes, the only thing that allows me peace is knowing that God will damn those who have tried to or succeeded at doing evil, regardless of why they do it. Ignorance is not an excuse, nor is apathy. These people know they are lying and probably why. And it probably has to do with an attempt to lay the seeds for a world wide socialist governance.
