Taking this whole scenario up a notch; there is the supernatural, cosmic, divine implication of the matter: the god of this world (Haylel/Lucifer) preparing the world mindset for the pending Battle of Har Magedon.

Viewing these events from that perspective encourages people (especially lukewarm Bible believers) to examine spiritual warfare as a viable alternative to whatever they now do. To consider the possibility that the Sons of Light and the Sons of Darkness are at war allows humanity the opportunity to be saved from further destruction.
