The hate being displayed towards Muslim women who choose to wear a hijab is nauseating. The majority of statements made on this page are obviously from the minds and mouths of people who are severely uninformed and uneducated on the religion of Islam. Women in the United States who willingly choose to wear a hijab are doing so to display their faith in God(Allah). It is similar to nuns who wear a habit to cover their hair. They are displaying their modesty and devotion to God in the same way that Muslim women wearing a hijab display modesty and devotion to God(Allah). People are often impressed by the faith of Catholic nuns and therefore show them great respect. When an American Muslim woman chooses to wear a hijab it is an equally significant act of devotion to God(Allah).
Considering the amount of criticism these women get from ignorant people like you, my assumption is that it takes an extreme amount of courage for any Muslim woman to choose to wear her hijab outside of a mosque.
