Erstwhile means former. Ms Pelosi is not the former Speaker, she's not the future Speaker, heck, she's not even a coherent speaker!
That can't be right. David Broder just wrote in his column a few weeks ago that the Dems taking control of Congress would put in power people who are ready to reach across the aisle to get things done for America.
So what your saying is that the educators support Pelosi, and the gun wielding fanatics that shoot up schools oppose her for trying to get guns out of thier hands?
I'm not sure why your children are thanking you for protecting criminals?
And I will even go so far to say the NRA certainly doesn't advocate these fanatics. However they do arm them.
Opposing guns in the hands of criminals is not what I consider extreme. And I think even the most ardvent supporter of the NRA would support that position. The question then is how do we keep guns out of the hands of criminals, and yet protect the right to carry fire-arms?
That is a question that will require strong leadership to answer. All I see out of the republicans is slander, and a lack of accountability. (After-all they keep blaming the democrats for everything. It's all because of Democratic inaction is the new party line)
If we're going to blame the democrats, then we can see who is actually taking accountability for the government.
If the American people can make any statement to our government this term, it should be this, no more excuses.
