Gravatar Nice Job! Madcap www.globalconservative.com I am putting you on my blogroll

Gravatar Thanks, Charles!

Gravatar Sandy's theft makes Nixon's Watergate look like a schoolyard prank.

No doubt the NY Times, CNN, and other pillars of America's Media will be rushing to study this in depth. Or not.

They should have left Sandy in jail until he produces the documents he destroyed or hid.

Gravatar Outstanding job Doug. Thanks for sharing.

Gravatar Of course, the administration argued that the attacks were motivated by partisanship and racism, but the Democrats and the medie retorted that they would have treated this exactly the same way if this had been a Democrat administration and a white official.

Gravatar I'm with Yau-Ming. How does the Berger activity differ from Watergate? He criminally removed and destroyed classified documents. Duh?

How about a Congressional Investigation of the activity, and the DOJ's handling of it ... or whoever patted him on the fanny as he left the courtroom and said "Well done! You deserve a 3 year break from having to worry yourself about what is top secret and what is not."

Oh. Sorry.

Gravatar There is actually a good reason the Justice Deparpment settled for a slap on the wrist. Had they gone for a real penalty they would have tried the case in Washington, DC. Can we spell OJ jury?

Gravatar Four VERSIONS of a document is a very different thing than four COPIES of that document. With four versions, you have differences, and you may want to compare the versions to see what the differences were. Try not to be so sloppy in your reasoning in the future.

"In the original report (PDF), Berger admitted stealing "four documents, all versions of the MAAR" (Millenium After Action Review - described on page 7 of the report).

What no one in the mainstream media is asking is: why would Berger would take four copies of the same MAAR document? And why is the media downplaying the possibility that original documents were also stolen or destroyed?"

Gravatar Awesome post.

And to think that some people believe that the MSM isn't liberal...

Gravatar Very good piece, Doug.
Linked you here,
Merry Christmas, Nuke

Gravatar good post, but I believe the differences are, if anything, understated.

Gravatar The next time you go to buy the New York Times, Wash Post, LA Times ask yourself...do I really need to buy this paper? And if you do...please notice the businesses advertising in them........this is the only way to get it to stop....

Gravatar "Amazing how a party affiliation impacts news coverage and political sensibilities, eh?"

I'm not following your logic. The House is Republican controlled and the DOJ is lead by the executive branch. So how exactly did Democratic sensibilities determine the outcome of House and DOJ investigations?

Gravatar If the shoe were on the other foot, the political firestorm -- aided and abetted by the Democratic public relations arm (otherwise known as ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, MSNBC, NPR, etc.) -- would have dragged this into the gutter for years on end. Impeachment proceedings, an endless series of investigations, etc.

Consider the confirmations of Ruth Bader Ginsburg vs. Judge Alito as examples.
