Gravatar It's a disgrace, keep up the good work.

Gravatar It is good for everyone to know their price. I thought ethics and professionalism would command a higher price. But then, I could be confusing these folks with ethical professionals.

Time wounds all heels. Hopefully sooner than later.

Gravatar Also remember Bill Moyers, who worked as press secretary for LBJ and who babbled in 2004 about how the right would mount a "coup" if Kerry won by a small margin.

Gravatar Thanks, el gordo, I added Moyers!

Gravatar Gregory's wife is not just a former Justice flack, she was the executive vice president and legal counsel at FANNIE MAE up until THIS SEPTEMBER!!!!!

Good LORD, these people are more incestuous than the redstate rednecks they loath so well...

Seriously, Gregory's wife was taking home two mil a year to his personal accounts while HE was supposedly asking questions about the FNMA debacle.. you think he knew all along what was happening there?

me too.

Gravatar Most of the voters who voted for Obama are too young to understand why any of the points you brought up matter.

Gravatar CNN: Jeanie Moos, Anderson Cooper, Gloria Burger, Suzanne Malveaux, and Soledad O'Brien = registered Democrats. MSNBC: Chris Matthews, Andrea Mitchell, Mika Brezenski, Monica Novotny = registered Democrats. Olbermann and Maddow = totally in the tank. Linda Douglas of Abc went to work for Obama. It goes on and on.

Gravatar Utterly lame analysis. Over at Fox Carl Cameron's wife worked in the Bush campaign. Gergen worked in the White House for Republican administrations before doing so for Clinton. Is it really any secret to anyone that Begalia and Sunday George worked for Clinton? You did see the film "The War Room" didn't you? If you insist on doing this sort of analysis, at least dig the hole deep and wide, not merely deep enough to provide a place for you to fall in face first. Washington is a small town. The political intertwined marriages are many. Try working a little harder next time. Something beyond an 8th grader's civics paper.

Gravatar Gergen worked for Nixon, Ford, and Reagan as well as Clinton. Wilikinson is an army veteran and a former prosecutor (who helped prosecute Timothy McVegih).

Gravatar I don't think "The Fairness Doctrine" means what the MSM media thinks it does.

Gravatar The point is that how can we trust a press corps that through marriage or family is plugged into the scandals and concealment of same that erodes honest government and the public perception thereof?

The day reporters became journalists who were courted for their opinions and thoughts on each others shows was a sad day for the Republic. Journalists answer to no one and are free to report on everything except facts. They take an active role in suppressing information. They play favorites and punish people and causes not in their favor.

There will come a day when journalists will seek to isolate themselves from the public because they will be afraid of the public's indignation and unanswerable questions.

Wait - that day is today.

Gravatar I wouldn't make too much of the t-shirt. It seems that every CNN headline has a t-shirt button next to it. You click it and get that headline printed on a shirt. See http://www.cnn.com/tshirt/faq/

Gravatar What is happening here is that many reporters are marrying members of the "industry" they cover. Not surprising their mates share their political philosophies, which, as survey after survey has shown, ranges from hard left to center left. Although for every rule there are exceptions, i.e. conservative-conservative matings. This opens up many opportunities for, yes, cross fertilization. Reporters move into political PR and campaigning and political staff move into "reporting". The same thing must happen in other careers that interact in a work environment. However, as long as reporters enter the news room directly from the major journalism schools, founded on the leftist mantra of let's-change-the-world, rather than attracting writers and thinkers with real world, subject matter experience, Democrat shading of stories and delivery will continue to predominate.
