Thanks - I was motivated to post by listening to her on the Mark Levin Show. I don't have the book, but gleaned enough from her discussion to do some research myself.
Excellent article! And Ann Coulter is one of the few media talking heads with a brain and the ability to use it.
But I doubt very much that the data will be used to pave the way for real legislation to rebuild the family. It won't happen because populations today would rather base legislation on their "feelings" rather than on "facts". Unfortunately, "feelies" and "factsies" aren't the same thing. Facts are true; feelings are transitory and often incorrect.
Fact is, people "feel" uncomfortable confronting the "facts" about particular racial minority communities. I don't.
The poor are often poor because they are too damned lazy to do anything for themselves. The criminal classes can claim "deprivation as children" all they want. But the bottom line is this: YOU are RESPONSIBLE for your actions (and inactions). So...
Tired of being poor, a single parent, living in a bad neighborhood? Really? Well, I have this great idea for ya! Get a frickin' JOB and WORK. And don't tell me that the reduction in your welfare payments are a "disincentive" to work. I don't buy it, and neither do millions of other people who have the cojones to be honest with themselves.
I know that last opart is really, really hard for people today. SUCK IT UP.
