Gravatar Is polyculturalism compatible with the abolition of whiteness and white supremacy? While offering a revolutionary vision for the future, it seems to appease the contemporary thinking of those socialized white.

Instead of drawing and affirming a clear demarcating line between whiteness and nonwhite cultures, it accepts whiteness as one of many, while emphasizing the value of them all, just as multiculturalism does.

While fluid in places multiculturalism isn't, it fails in the same way that multiculturalism does when it comes to dealing with the primary contradiction, white supremacy. Because of this flaw, those with intellectual and cognitive blind spots for white supremacy are attracted to the polycultural idea. And because of the fluidity of polyculturalism, the problem of being between the rock of white supremacy and the hard place of multiculturalism is solved for those socialized white. Polyculturalism seems the answer.

Polyculturalism doesn't deal with the concept and political tool, whiteness. Thus it CANNOT deal with the ideology of white supremacy. Therefore polyculturalism, while perhaps providing a temporary psychological benefit for those socialized white it is ultimately a dead end.
