Amen.... Or any other country for that matter. We are the only nation on earth that tries to accomodate all nationalities... We need to take care of Americans. I, for one, have had to return to school, at the age of 45, to learn a new trade after being in my profession for 14 years.... I was a computer programmer, laid off from an American company that was over 100 years old, that gave a contract to a company from India... They spent millions and millions of dollars on the project and then scapped it because it wasn't going to do what they wanted it to do. I was told when I interviewed for more programming jobs that I had better not ask for a salary over a certain amount or I wouldn't get hired because the people from India would accept a lower salary. After 1 1/2 years of searching for another job, I, reluctantly, had to file bankruptcy (which everyone pays for) and have no health insurance because my schooling requires so much time that I cannot have a fulltime job that would allow me to have health insurance and working part-time, I don't make enough to even pay for it, plus I have to get help from my 85 year old father (Praise the Lord he is still alive!!).... It is a very scary thing to be 45 with no health insurance. And I am not the only one in this sinking boat. I have many IT friends that have the same issues... I have worked hard in this country since I was 16 years old and the people up there in their glass houses need to come down and try to live on the minimum wage, and live the American dream of owning a house and one car and enough food on the table, with health insurance, not counting providing for a family. Don't you think that allowing these people who will work for less, only brings down our standard of living below the poverty level??? Then they need assitance, they get low interest loans to start a business (another story in itself), they commit crimes against American citizens, they cross the border just before dropping their baby and then the baby is an American citizen, while their birth is paid for by us Americans, get free health care (I am an American citizen, and I don't even get free health care!!!), get a driver's license and can't even read English.. How dumb is that??? Isn't a driver's license supposed to be for people that can prove they are American citizens??? What happened to "Homeland Security"??? Why should children in public schools have to learn Spanish... Another cost that is not needed. If someone can't prove American citizenship, then send them back home. Legal and illegal aliens are taking over this country... We don't need anymore foreigners... PERIOD. I am sick and tired of having to choose "English" on businesses call centers, on the screens at the bank, and having to find the "English" on everyday products. American companies ought to be ashamed... They are a part of this too. By putting both English and Spanish on their products, they are only encouraging

them to stay. Americans need to stand up for America. Walk the talk. Go to www.numbersusa.com if you really want to know what's going on up in Congress... You will be totally surprised...
No more VISAS. PERIOD. I needed my job, my house, my car, my health insurance. If people that come here don't want to abide by our rules, learn our language, become American citizens, then they can go home. We don't need them. We can take care of ourselves.

Bottom line we are presumed to be a nation of laws. There are laws on the books right now with penalties for employers who employ illegal aliens and for false identification obtained by anyone. These laws need to be enforced. The massive demonstrations supporting illegal immigration should be a signal to strengthen the federal govenment's resolve to defend our borders not encourage compromise.
