God[lessness], that's awful. Do you get regular flu shots? They do help, not always, but usually. I've only missed mine one year recently, and that was the year I anded up deathly sick from flu for about three weeks.

I do hope you hear back about your friend soon.

On the plus side, at least spilling all that stuff on a stained shirt is better than spilling it on one that wasn't already stained.
