Just to set the record straight Aztek is Columbian. Yes He is out of Houston and is into the Roc so its a good look for the Roc to pick up a hispanic artist seeing as how there hasn't been a hot hispanic rapper since Pun (And no...Fat Joe isn't hot). Him being signed to the Roc is not a "Tax Write-off" move because he is getting too much buzz from the Radio/Spins he gets here in NY not to mention he was on stage at SummerJam along side Jay-Z. My Conclusion, Aztek will probably hit the industry in the face real hard and go down as one of the Rappers where either you love him or can't stand to listen... no middle men.

I ran through this kat before in a short music related meeting, Aztek rolled in a big body fixed up 2004 navigator. I gave him a complement on his ride and he responded as if he was a drug lord or something who produced his income hustling. Eventhough I knew something was up about this kid, I didn't pay no mind. So this kat bragged about how he felt Houston rap is whack and was not going to go no where nationally or globally and he feels he is the best to ever come out of Houston. So I tell myself at this point this kat is confident which is good, but to confident turns into annoying and too self absurbed. After hearing on and on about how big and bad he was and is, I realized everything was about me this and me that and then finally realized he has nothing to offer to the youth for the better b/c he is only looking out for himself only and I ended the meeting even shorter then scheduled. Well time passes and all of sudden this guy makes it, signed to the Roc. More power to Aztek was my first response, but after hearing the rumor about him carrying himself as a wannabe from the streets, then I realized I was a victim of believing his b.s. All good, I should of known...It's one thing to hear a person out and say who they really are and take his word for it, and it's another thing to be what you say you are within time...b/c eventually ur true colors will come out one way or the other, believe me!!! I hate fake kats! If you are rich be rich and humble, if you are poor be poor and hungry. All in all, I have respect for all financial classes and peepz that jus keep it real with themselves! A big middle finger in the air for WHACK niggaz who claim to be somebody they are not!
