They're lucky this shit never came out. The production is fucking WEAK. It's trying so hard to be "west coast" sounding. Shit would've sounded dated in '95 or '96 or whenever this shit was recorded.

In other news: how many underground super-star rap groups is Ras Kass in that haven't actually put out any records? At least two but there's probably more.

I dunno man, anyone who has seen me post over at Cocaine Blunts knows that I'm a pretty big Saafir fan, if there's a track from the Boxcar era that I don't have I'm unaware of its existence, unreleased or not. But I'm pretty much set to not expect much at this point. The last Saafir joint that was even half way decent was probably Scanlous, his new material has been pretty much straight up garbage, as sad as that is.

Can you post the other track names or a shot of the track list just for reference off that limited CD?

i like the "0fficial" track the most, and I think asking Saafir to redo boxcar sesssions (not that you are A) is insane.

He sounded good on those cuts to me, maybe i'm biased being from oakland, but his demeanor and tone always make me feel like home (nullus).

And fyi west oakland always has had a stereotpye of being the darker, more industrial looking (and sounding) part of oakland.

I don't expect Boxcar 2, it's never going to happen. But to have on of your favorite MC's fall off so badly is depressing.

I'm not aware of any reason to ever go to East O, it's all about the West side. I don't live in the Bay anymore (SF native) but I never hit the East side.
