Gravatar Grime seems to be most importantly a social phenomenon, relaying between pirate radio stations around London and elsewhere. I wouldn't particularly bother buying those solo albums, it seems most reasonable to pick up mixes from people with their paws deep in the harvest. Friend had some mixed he recorded off of London pirates, fuckin fire. And not an MC in sight.

Gravatar Roll Deep's "In at the Deep End" is good all the way through .... switches back and forth between balls-to-the-wall grime stuff and more R&B influenced. Surprised nobody put it out in the States, to me it sounds way more accessible than the Dizzee records (although I liked those too).

Gravatar the roll deep album was alright, i'm suprised that kano's + roll deeps album didnt sell as much as dizzee's

as for mix tapes i heard that ruff squads-"guns and roses" mixtape was pretty good
sways mixtapes are good aswell

Gravatar Yeah Guns and Roses was alright.

Gravatar Big ups for spreading the word bout the grimey biz. For those into mixes make sure you hit up Rhythm Division @ www.rhythmdivision.co.uk and cop some dope cds n cdpacks including DJ Bossman "Street Anthems 2", Rinse FM's 6 CD Pack "RinSessions Vol.1" (one of my favorites @ da moment), the soon to be released True Tiger mixtape "Eye of the Tiger vol.1" and the big, big 2 DVD and 2 CD pack of RISKY ROADZ 2 which is a who's who in UK Grime in 2005.
Once again big ups posting bout the grime biz (the Ruff Squad tune is classic).
