Word up on the De La!
Have you heard the De La feat Camp Lo - Girls Look So Good track on that Hip-Hop 101 comp? Another one to add to the randomly good De La tunes that pop up occasionally...you should check it!
yeah, good looking on the Camp Lo track. I've got another batch coming up, though it doesn't have that one. Might have to throw it in at the last minute...
haven't heard about that camp lo collab, but i'd be very interested to hear it.
Like everyone else, I guess, I buy every De La thing I see. I certainly have liked a track here and there during the AOI series but never were consumed by those records the way I was the first 3. The thing that really gets to me is that I HATE Stakes is High. What am I not getting? I seem to throw it on once a year after someone praises it but never feel it. Oh well, here I go again...
i think stakes is high is a really good album. their first three are superior obviously, but i still bump stakes on the regular. the aoi stuff is pretty close to garbage in my opinion, but the grind date has redeemed them somewhat.
hip hop hall of fame regardless.
Yeah I'm with Maru on this one, Stakes Is High is a decent album it just pales compared to teh first three.

not to boo boo on the de la lovefest, but i caught their show in montreal on friday. It was dope, no doubt. i'm just sayin 30 bones and they ended at 11:30, no encore in spite of a hyped mtl crowd that stuck around for a cool 45ish minutes. i know they're old and whatnot, just kinda disappointing.
