Mac Dre's death makes me more sad than Pac and Biggie combined, even if he'll only see .1% as much ink spilled in his name. One of the reason's picking songs is so hard is that he actually made albums, not just singles. An impressive feat considering how deep his catalog is.
His music laid the foundation down for a lot of the cats out there now.
He is missed.

Yeah Mac Dre is definitly missed ! In a couple of years when Bay Area rap becomes the new Houston or ATL, people will trace it back to Mac Dre ! As far as this Hyphy style music which gives Bay Area Rap it's uniqueness and Freshness, Mac Dre is more accoutable for that than E-40 and Too Short. Dude has been doing like that 4 a real long time. An as far as the Bay Area Hate, its usually from people that are not from the flat lands they usually grew up in the hills and only came down to buy their weed with there PARENTS money, so they can never understand why this music is so important to so many people in the bay and they could never GET why this music is Good Music. Basically they can't relate. like I said before if ain't feeling it probably not for YOU !!! This Bay shit is more hip hop than people (Bay Area Haters) will ever know !!

Yo his music is still going strong
when kids in Tulsa Ok is gettin hyphy to "Get Stupid" it's defenitly a sign that he started something pretty big in hip-hop. Its sad that like DJ Screw and countless others he will not be able to enjoy his own greatness and what it will become
Mac Dre was 1st introduced to me by my ex roomate (a bay area repper) and when I first heard him I wasn't that impressed but i listened to "I drink Henny and smoke green grass every day, dippin & yokin in my clean ass Chevrolet" I dont even know the title but that shit had me like damn..just that beat alone was smashin and every since then i was jammin to the "Damnit Man" It was real F@#$ed up to hear his demise came to an end in my home town. It just goes to show Every town has haterz whetherit be big city or lil country
