Junior - A funk quiz in two parts. First, you realize George Clinton's 1967 psych freak out in Detriot was really responsible for this kind of sound, but Clinton had borrowed it from Sly. Ever hear how similar Sly's "Into My Own Thang" was copied right by Funkadelic, on "What is Soul". But that's besides the point - this was the sound 67 - 71 really. Temptations recrafted GC's Detriot vision of that.
Again, besides the point - what's the much stronger Chambers Brothers / P-Funk connection ??

The stronger connection could be they both used Jerome "Bigfoot" Brailey as their beatmaker. Great tunes.

Hey Chuck, I'm only a poor limey and my knowledge of the p-funk isn't the best so have no idea. Craigstarr's guess sounds pretty good to me?
