The awa band track is possibly best mix by quantic ever.But i want to find the band.Any idea ?
I don't know very much about Awa Band, but they have two other singles out (as far as i know):
1. timba 12" on defected in 2000 &
2. tudo lindo 12" on defected in 2001
you can find both of these on ebay from time to time...timba especially. i don't think they sound very similar to bababatteur.
tony allen of fela kuti's africa 70 band guests on drums for "bababatteur." and barbara snow is the vocalist.
and i'll agree with you DIAGILEV, this is my favorite quantic's many, many brilliant remix efforts.

quantic is typically the moniker will holland uses when dj-ing or for his electronic production. quantic soul orchestra is his live band for which he plays bass and guitar and composes/arranges. however he has been incorporating more and more of his live playing into his production work so the line is blurring. QSO has two albums 2003's stampede, which is good, and the superior 2005 pushin' on. so its all flowing from the same genius brain, but isn't necessarily the same thing.
