Tommy Flanagan = one of the most underrated pianists in the jazz canon.

One of my favorite trends in the latter half of the '60s was the slight touch of reverb on the horns on most of the Milestone/Fantasy and Impulse! releases. I know purists loathe it, but I love that warmth, and "The Kicker" has just the right amount.
