Gravatar People still read newspapers after television became an easy source.

Could it be that newspapers just don't offer the variety and ease of interactivity that online news reading does? It's so much faster and easier to comment on an online story than to send a letter or email to the editor when it mightn't even be printed.

Gravatar STFU ok! Don't give them any ideas! Sheesh

Gravatar Phychologically you create value by placing a value on something. In some minds, 'free' anequates with 'not worth buying'. Something not worth buying, is likely not worth reading. If I'm paying $30 a month to have the newspaper delivered to my door, I will feel obliged to read it. I would feel bad recycling a newspaper I have not read. I would not feel nearly as bad, recycling a free version. I put enough value on the news, that I don't mind paying for it.
